• What are the advantages of WAFU Smart Lock in terms of security and privacy protection?

  WAFU Smart Lock adopts financial-grade security protection: live fingerprint recognition helps prevent fake fingerprints; disguised passcodes allow random digits before and after the correct PIN; the range has passed the highest national security level certification from the Ministry of Public Security and includes anti-electromagnetic interference (“black box”) design.

• How long does the battery last?

  WAFU smart locks use an ultra-low-power RF chip; battery life is ≥12 months under normal use. Type-C emergency power keeps you covered even if the batteries run out.

• Will the lock break if the door is kicked or hit hard?

  The WAFU series is cast from one piece of zinc alloy and passes the Ministry of Public Security Grade-A fire & anti-burst test. After a 5,000 N impact the lock body shows no cracks and still opens normally, keeping your home secure.

• Can the door lock itself automatically?

  Yes. WAFU series supports auto-lock, so you do not need to lift the handle manually — ideal when your hands are full.

• Can I keep my existing deadbolt and just add the smart lock?

  WAFU smart locks are all-in-one replacements. Simply remove the old mechanical lock and install the new unit; the existing keyhole and top/bottom rods are retained with no extra holes or modifications — 99% of security and wood doors can be fitted in about 10 minutes.

• Is it OK for an apartment door?

  Absolutely. The lock body is 24 mm thick and supports doors 35–110 mm thick with a maximum 120 mm gap between inner and outer panels, covering most apartment single and double doors. When a tenant moves out, the landlord can delete all keys in one click via the app — no need to replace the cylinder.

• How does a smart lock work?

  A high-performance MCU inside the lock collects fingerprint, PIN, Bluetooth or Wi-Fi signals in real time, encrypts and compares them, then drives the motor to unlock. The whole process uses TLS encryption and is immune to “little black box” electromagnetic attacks.

• Which door types and thicknesses are supported?

  Wood, steel and bronze doors 35–110 mm thick are supported as standard. We include 30 mm longer screws and single/double-hole face-plates in the box to ensure damage-free installation on 99% of common door types.

• Can the lock handle extreme temperatures or humidity?

  Operating range is −30 °C to +70 °C at 20%–95% RH. A conformal-coated PCB plus IP54 dust & water protection keeps the lock stable in northern winters and southern monsoon seasons alike.
