Hidden Smart Door Lock Project Brief: Confirm the Door, Access and Handover Decisions

A practical brief for distributors, integrators and project teams evaluating a hidden door lock. It separates confirmed product facts from site-specific checks before quotation and sampling.

Project scope

Before sampling, record the use case, number of doors, dimensions, opening direction, installation space and required access methods. This brief supports procurement and does not replace a site survey, installation design or sample acceptance.

Site survey checklist

  1. Confirm the door material, thickness, opening direction and available lock-body space.
  2. Record the selected access methods and who owns the power, controller and emergency-key decisions.
  3. Separate confirmed WAFU specifications from items that require a sample or site test.
  4. Link the quotation to a specific model and accessory list; avoid blanket compatibility claims.

Product and configuration

Review the relevant WF-010, WF-019 or WF-026 product information and confirm the exact configuration with WAFU. Do not assume that options on one model apply to another.

Project handover

The buyer should document requirements and quantities; the installer should provide door measurements and site constraints; and the supplier should confirm the model, accessories and document versions. Agree on sample acceptance criteria, ownership and the process for resolving open questions. Recheck the configuration when door conditions change.

Frequently asked questions

Is every door compatible?

Can this brief be used as an installation approval?

No. It is a procurement and handover checklist. The installer must verify the site and follow the approved product documentation.

What should be included in the RFQ?

Include the model, door information, access methods, finish, accessory list, target quantity, packaging language, required documents and sample acceptance criteria.
